Camera Mech is the third generation in the Wanwu Camera series. Its dimensions sit between Gen1 Camera M and Gen2 Camera mini. The biggest change is that the slider has been switched from a magnetic setup to a mechanical mechanism, and it supports DIY tuning for a wide range of tactile feels.
Its appearance takes inspiration from a classic rangefinder camera. The metal surfaces receive a hand‑applied orange‑peel finish, lending the Camera more authentic simulated aesthetics while improving grip during fidgeting.
It features four core functions:
Mechanical slider fidget. Interchangeable track plates are supported. Four spring mounting holes allow for DIY tactile tuning. It comes stock with a 15‑click standard‑travel track. Future accessory tracks will include a 10‑click clicky‑travel track and a 20‑click dense‑travel track.
Lens ratchet rotation. Ratchet feel can be adjusted by swapping out springs. Three built‑in 2.5mm holes accept springs of 2.1‑2.3mm outer diameter and 2.381mm bearing balls.
Rocker‑lever action. The film‑chamber rocker‑lever delivers crisp snapping feedback.
Shutter‑button action. The camera shutter acts as a depressible push‑button with crisp audible clicks.
