The final piece of the puzzle has finally arrived for the complete "Utopia" of the Cyborg Soul Series, after nearly two years of development. And now, the Python has arrived!
The design of this entire series began two years ago, with different components being rolled out one step at a time. The entire development process was fraught with challenges. Initially, we thought that by combining multiple EDC pieces, we could deliver a 1:1 scale sci-fi prop into the hands of players. However, in practice, we realized what an arduous task it was to ensure that each core product not only boasted a unique style and innovative gameplay, but also could be perfectly combined with others, while maintaining structural coherence and sturdiness. Today, two years later, as I hold "Utopia" in my hand, it all feels like a dream, and a heavy weight has finally been lifted from my shoulders. Here, I would like to thank every member of the Proxy EDC team for their relentless day-and-night efforts, and above all, express my gratitude to each and every player for their support and love for this series.
"Python" is assembled from five large components and six small parts. It is made of titanium alloy and available in two finishes: natural titanium and titanium black. You can choose to assemble Utopia with parts of the same color or mix and match colors according to your personal aesthetic preference.
The final design features a single-shot cover structure similar to that of a grenade launcher. If a compression spring is installed, simply pull the Cyborg Soul backward, and the "Python" will automatically eject and open upward. Without the compression spring, it can be chambered with one hand. Inside the opened upper cover, there is a pressable brass decorative cartridge case.
The "Python" comes with a nylon loop grip. Even without assembly, it can be played with on its own. The bottom also has a magnetic function, which can store screwdriver bits. There is a 6mm screw hole at the front end, where accessories such as a window breaker can be installed.
When the five EDC pieces—Cyborg Soul, Fang Kit, Iron Curtain, Dragon Ridge, and Python—are assembled together, the resulting Utopia takes the form of a massive sci-fi hand cannon right before your eyes. The final combined unit has achieved a 1:1 scale. It is not recommended for carrying outside and is only suitable for display, fidgeting, and collection at home.
